Processing a Manual Check

1) Go to the Payroll tab.
2) Set the Company & Dates. The manual check will be processed with the next actual payroll. So, enter those dates. Don’t forget to Save.
3) Go into Enter Payroll.



4) Click the Manual Checks button.


         1) An alternate pay grid will open. Enter the manual check(s).
                  a. This grid will not have any employees by default. Click the Add Row button to add the employee(s) and pay type(s) needed.


                 b. The “Chk” will be assigned for you (you do not need to change this). This is not the check number that will be used.
                 c. If you would like to enter a check number, show the “Manual Chk” column in the pay grid.
                 d. Holds can be placed on manual checks as needed.
                 e. When finished with entry, Save the pay grid.



Note: Once you have completed the manual check for an employee, he/she will remain in this grid until the next payroll is processed.
          2) Click the “Calc Manual Checks” button.
          3) Verify that the information on this pop-up is correct, and click the Submit button.



          4) The payroll preview may take a few minutes. You will receive an email when it is ready. You may also wait a few minutes and refresh your browser to check for availability.
                  a. Click the “You have Payroll Calculations Pending Approval” link at the top of the screen.
                  b. Review this report. If it is correct, print a copy(ies) for your records and/or to give to the Employee with his/her check. Then, click the Save button. You will be asked to confirm this choice,
                  click the “Save Manual Check” button. That is it! You may return to do more manual checks to post with the next payroll as needed.
                  c. If the report is not correct, click the “Change Pay Amounts” button. You will be asked to confirm this choice, click “Change Pay Amounts” again. This will return you to the Payroll tab. Return to                    Enter Payroll and repeat steps 2-8 to correct the manual check.
